Bike component designs: stems, cranks and pedal

In spring 2025 I designed a set of parts for TBD Bikes. It covers two MTB stems, two BMX stems, and a 3-piece crankset in SRAM 3-bolt and Shimano direct-mount versions. It also has the same crank design for ISIS-drive e-bikes with Bosch motors, and the V4 pedal set up for SLS PA12 with 4130, 4140 or 17-4 steel spindle options.

The video shows my CAD process for the MTB stem and cranks. These are designs; the plan was to take them from CAD models to ride-ready parts.
